Calling all Chapman students!

Concerned about grades? So is everyone else.

Lately there has been a lot of talk about grades on Chapman's campus. What is deemed as fair to some students may not necessarily be the same viewpoint as other students or the professors and faculty. It is inevitable that there will be multiple viewpoints on this issue, and this is where Chapman ImPRessions has taken a stand.

We are partnering with L.I.G.H.T.S, The Leadership Studies Program and the Donna Ford Attallah Academy of
Teaching and Learning (College of Educational Studies) to bring "The Grade Divide" to you. This event is your opportunity to engage in dialogue and conversation with faculty and other students about grades and what your opinion is.

Take note of the additional information below, and don't forget to send your RSVP to Chapman.ImPRessions@gmail.com by Friday, November 5. You can also find more information on The Grade Divide Facebook event page.

Meet TheUrbanHangout.com

What would it take to get a night on the town in Los Angeles with a limo,  fabulous dinner and a club fit to your taste?  Well, it'll only take submitting your name to a raffle held by TheUrbanHangout.com Dec. 3, according to Jessica Pauletto, account executive of PR for the site.

TheUrbanHangout.com (TUH) is a website that provides recommendations to bars, clubs, restaurants and lounges in the general Los Angeles area, and is one of ImPRession's clients.  TUH was started by Chapman MBA graduates Amanda Campbell and Brent Ray in April, 2010.

TUH provides images, descriptions and testimonials from staff writers about clubs, bars and restaurants in Los Angeles.  Users can use personal preferences of food, music, attire and even price to find the perfect night-life experience.  TUH recently released an iPhone application that provides all the site's services in relation to the user's current location on GPS, said Campbell.

The account is currently directed by Senior Jessica Pauletto, who brought the client to ImPRessions during Spring 2010.

First ImPRession

We are Chapman ImPRessions, Chapman University's student-run public relations firm!  Before I start rambling about our PR addiction, here is a little information about us and what we do...

Chapman ImPRessions was founded in the Fall of 2009.  It all began with an eager local client and three even more eager PR students.  After accumulating a team of students, Chapman ImPRessions was an up and running firm.

The firm currently has three clients; TheUrbanHangout.com, Deb's Chapman Coffee House and The Flying Nest.  ImPRessions is the result of a team of 22 students' pro-bono work and passion.

Candice and I are both senior PR majors at Chapman University.
